Have you ever seen a movie that featured a scene showing an airline from the 70's and you think how cool it looked. With the Pan Am stewardess in their baby blue uniforms carrying their bags with the famous Pan Am logo on it. Service on the plane was top notch and passengers actually got dressed up when they flew.
Well now you can go back in time and experience all the glamour for yourself. Air Hollywood in
Los Angeles, the world's largest aviation themed film studio, has re-created an exact replica of a Pan Am 747 interior as it would have appeared in the 1970's. Every other weekend it comes to life in the Pan Am experience, a re-created dinner that re-creates everything right down to the menus and service items. On board guests will be serviced food and drinks from that era off the original menu's. The experience also includes a period fashion show and "in-flight" triva game. All guests receive luggage tags and the winners of the trivia games receive Pan Am bags. Around the cabin guests will find fake cigarettes to complete that real 70's feel and the extensively trained stewardesses are always on hand should you need anything.
Many of the guest dress in period clothing. First class upper deck cost $355 and first class main deck $295. 13240 Weidner St, Los ANgeles, Ca. (818) 890-0444 panamexperience.com
