Some of the things that appeal to me about cruising is of course is the amazing food but also the fun on board activities so when I booked an 11 day Hawaiian "journeys" cruise with Carnival Cruise line I was beyond excited. Unfortunately, that excitement didn't last once I got on board. We boarded the ship in Honolulu and spent the next six days cruising the islands and than had five sea days ending in Vancouver, Canada.
The food on board the Legend was not good. Normally when I cruise after having a meal in the main
dining room I end the meal thinking wow, that was a great meal, I can't wait to see what they have tomorrow night. But on this cruise the food in the dining room was dry, bland and boring. I heard a lot of people complaining about the quality of the food. If you wanted a better cut of steak or lobster you had to pay $20 (in the main dining room)but even then people were saying it wasn't worth the money. The food in the buffet wasn't much better. The eggs were so soggy you could practically ring them out and the fruit was under-ripe and hard. So the food on board was a big zero!
Unfortunately the on board entertainment was much better . We had 5 sea days so you would think they had some good activities planned but mostly it was trivia. All day, every day, trivia games. "Today's activities will be trivia and tomorrow's activities will be…trivia and the day after that…more trivia!"
Other then that there wasn't that much else to do. Every once
